The invention relates to a mounting bracket for a radar sensor. The mounting bracket includes a first layer and a second layer positioned adjacent the first layer. The second layer has a higher absorption coefficient than the first layer for a radar wave having a wavelength within a predetermined wavelength range. The mounting bracket is configured to be mounted in a predetermined orientation such that the first layer is first exposed to a radar wave emitted by the radar sensor before the second layer is exposed to the radar wave. A radar system including the mounting bracket and methods of manufacturing the mounting bracket and integrating the radar system into a vehicle are also disclosed.
