The invention relates to an unloading valve and a brake system using the same. An unloading valve is disclosed. The housing defines a primary pump inlet, a secondary pump inlet, a collective pump outlet, and a bypass pump outlet. The housing defines a bypass seat. The tappet has a first tappet end and a second tappet end spaced longitudinally by a tappet body. The tappet is configured to selectively reciprocate longitudinally between a first tappet position and a second tappet position. A tappet shoulder is positioned on an outer surface of the tappet body for selective sealing engagement with the bypass seat to allow fluid flow in a bypass direction and prevent fluid flow in a collection direction longitudinally opposite the bypass direction. The primary pump inlet and the secondary pump inlet are in fluid communication with the collective pump outlet for flow in the collective direction when the combined fluid pressure at the primary pump inlet and the secondary pump inlet is below a predetermined bypass pressure and the tappet is in the first tappet position.
