The invention relates to the technical field of battery heating of new energy automobiles, in particular to a battery heating control method and system.The battery heating control method is characterized in that heating conditions are distinguished, and heating modes are divided into three heating modes including charging heating, idling heating and traveling heating according to different states of an automobile; the temperature thresholds for entering and exiting heating in the three heating modes are different, and the threshold temperature for starting heating and the threshold temperature for ending heating in the idling heating mode are both lower than the threshold temperature for starting heating and the threshold temperature for ending heating in the charging heating mode and the driving heating mode; therefore, the normal use of the vehicle in a driving or charging state can be ensured, the heating frequency of the vehicle in an idling state can be reduced, and the energy consumption is reduced.
