The invention relates to the technical field of charging pile cluster management, and provides an Internet of Things data terminal system based on 5G and edge computing, which comprises an edge computing terminal. The edge computing terminal comprises a processor, a wireless communication module and a local data storage module. The processor is used for screening parameter information transmitted by the acquisition sensors in the charging pile cluster, and key electrical load parameters are screened out. According to the invention, after the parameter information collected by the collection sensor in the charging pile cluster is transmitted to the edge computing terminal, the processor can directly screen out key electrical load parameters from the parameter information locally and calculate the power consumption and load state change of the charging pile cluster, data processing is carried out on the cloud computing server in advance, and the power consumption and load state change of the charging pile cluster are calculated. The computing pressure of the cloud computing server is reduced, the data volume of data transmitted to the cloud computing server is reduced, and the serious problems of large bandwidth occupancy and network delay are avoided.
