The invention provides a charging driving circuit with a leakage protection function. The charging driving circuit comprises a charging gun, a relay switch, a handshake signal generator, a power supply, a zero current transformer, a leakage protection circuit and a micro-control unit. The charging gun is used for detecting automobile load; the relay switch is used for controlling the charging gun to supply power to the automobile charging port; the handshake signal generator is used for generating a PWM handshake signal; the power is used for generating power signals. Wherein a first switch is arranged between the power supply and the charging gun; the zero current transformer is used for collecting charging current between the power supply and the charging gun; a second switch is arranged between the zero current transformer and the charging gun or between the zero current transformer and the ground; the earth leakage protection circuit is used for controlling relay switches based on charging current; and the micro-control unit is used for controlling each connected component. The invention also discloses a method for charging an automobile by using the charging driving circuit.
