The invention relates to the technical field of vehicle tire monitoring, and discloses a tire life estimation method and device based on tread depth detection, and the method comprises the steps: removing noisy points in a tread image through employing a nonlinear edge protection filtering algorithm, carrying out the pattern edge detection, and obtaining a tread region and a pattern edge; wherein the tread image is acquired in advance; generating an equal-proportion edge feature smooth curve according to the tread area and the pattern edge; obtaining a pattern edge pixel coordinate according to the edge feature smooth curve, and calculating a pattern depth according to the pattern edge pixel coordinate; and predicting the service life of the tire according to the pattern depth, and generating a tire detection report. The tire tread pattern can be rapidly and accurately detected, the tire life is reliably predicted, and the traffic accident rate is reduced.

    本申请涉及车辆轮胎监测技术领域,公开了一种基于胎纹深度检测的轮胎寿命预估方法及装置,所述利用非线性边缘保护滤波算法去除胎面图像中的噪点,并进行花纹边缘检测,获得胎面区域及花纹边缘;其中,所述胎面图像为预先采集得到的;根据所述胎面区域及花纹边缘生成等比例的边缘特征平滑曲线;根据所述边缘特征平滑曲线获取花纹边缘像素坐标,并根据所述花纹边缘像素坐标计算花纹深度;根据所述花纹深度预测轮胎寿命,并生成轮胎检测报告。可以实现胎面花纹快速、准确检测,轮胎寿命可靠预测,降低交通事故发生率。
