In order to solve the problem, the present invention provides a forming method in which a tear line groove (4) is formed in an airbag deployment section (3), the tear line groove (4) comprising: a center section (43) having a shape in which the lower points of two Y-shapes (41, 42) are connected to each other; the present invention relates to a method for molding an airbag deployment section, the method comprising: an airbag deployment section molding step (S1) in which one of two molds (51, 52) constituting a cavity (53) for molding the airbag deployment section is molded into an airbag deployment section (S1), and the other of the two molds (51, 52) constituting the cavity (53) for molding the airbag deployment section is molded into a quadrilateral section (44) formed by connecting the branch end points of one Y-shaped and the other Y-shaped in the shape of a central section (43); applying a mold having protruding strip portions (511) protruding into the cavity in order to form two opposite end edge portions of the four end edge portions; and a post-processing step (S2) for processing the remaining edge portion that has not been formed in the airbag deployment portion forming step (S1).
