The invention discloses a flexible automatic body-in-white lifting appliance and an operation method. The lifting appliance comprises a top-layer lifting frame, a middle-layer lifting frame, a gripper mechanism and a positioning and supporting mechanism. An X-direction driving device and a Z-direction driving device are arranged on the top-layer hanging bracket, the X-direction driving device drives the top-layer hanging bracket to move in the X direction, and the Z-direction driving device enables the middle-layer hanging bracket to move in the Z direction by winding and unwinding a transmission belt, so that the gripper mechanism is driven to ascend and descend. The gripper mechanism comprises a gripper frame. The positioning and supporting mechanism comprises an upper positioning rod and a lower positioning rod. During hoisting, the X-direction driving device drives the top-layer hanging bracket to move to a designated point, so that the two sets of gripper frames are opened in the Y direction, the middle-layer hanging bracket drives the gripper mechanism to descend to a designated position, the two sets of gripper frames are folded to clamp and lift a body-in-white, and the upper positioning rod is inserted into the top of the lower positioning rod in the descending process; and the middle layer hanging bracket is supported while positioning is carried out, clamping and lifting work is completed, and next-step production operation of the body in white is carried out.

    本发明公开了一种柔性自动化白车身吊具及作业方法,该吊具包括顶层吊架、中间层吊架、抓手机构及定位支撑机构。顶层吊架上分别设有X向驱动装置和Z向驱动装置,X向驱动装置驱动顶层吊架沿X向运动,Z向驱动装置通过收放传动带,使中间层吊架沿Z向运动,从而带动抓手机构升降。抓手机构包括抓手架。定位支撑机构包括上部定位杆和下部定位杆。进行吊装时,X向驱动装置驱动顶层吊架位移至指定点,使两组抓手架沿Y向打开,中间层吊架带动抓手机构下降至指定位置,两组抓手架合拢对白车身进行夹持托举,上部定位杆在下降过程中插入下部定位杆顶部,进行定位的同时对中间层吊架进行支撑,完成夹持托举工作,以进行白车身的下一步生产作业。
