The invention provides a front and rear wheel driving force distribution device and a control device thereof, which can simply and accurately distribute driving force to a front wheel and a rear wheel. A front and rear wheel driving force distribution device is provided with: a central differential unit that distributes and outputs rotational torque input from a transmission to a front propeller shaft and a rear propeller shaft; and a differential restriction unit provided with a first clutch and a second clutch, the rear transmission shaft being configured such that, when the second clutch is engaged by the second piston, the rear transmission shaft rotates in a faster state than when the first clutch is engaged by the first piston, and the rear transmission shaft rotates in a faster state than when the first clutch is engaged by the first piston. When the rotational speed of the first clutch is equal to or higher than the rotational speed of the rear propeller shaft, a one-way clutch provided between the first clutch and the rear propeller shaft connects the first clutch and the rear propeller shaft, and when the rotational speed of the first clutch is lower than the rotational speed of the rear propeller shaft, the one-way clutch idles.
