The metal structure includes a metal plate including a metal plate first surface and a metal plate second surface. The metal structure includes a metal reinforcement extending from the metal sheet first surface and a first joint between the metal sheet first surface and the metal reinforcement. The metal structure includes a metal article extending from the metal sheet second surface and a second joint between the metal sheet second surface and the metal article. The first joint has a first joint boundary. The second joint has a second joint boundary. The second joint boundary does not extend beyond the first joint boundary when viewed at any point along the second joint boundary in a direction perpendicular to the first surface of the metal sheet. In a plane intersecting the metal reinforcement and perpendicular to the first surface of the metal sheet, the metal reinforcement has at least a first reinforcement thickness and a second reinforcement thickness less than the first reinforcement thickness.
