Provided are a door impact beam for an automobile formed from an aluminum alloy extruded material and a method for manufacturing the same, and a 7000-series aluminum alloy extruded material having excellent SCC resistance in a higher strength region (yield strength of 460 MPa or more) than in the prior art as a raw material for a door impact beam for an automobile. A 7000 series aluminum alloy extruded material which contains 7.5 to 9.0 mass% of Zn, 1.3 to 2.0 mass% of Mg, 0.1 to 0.7 mass% of Cu, 0.15 mass% or less of Si, 0.3 mass% or less of Fe, 0.005 to 0.2 mass% of Ti, 0.1 to 0.5 mass% of one or more of Mn, Cr and Zr in a range of 0.3 mass% or less of Mn, 0.25 mass% or less of Cr, and 0.25 mass% or less of Zr, with the remainder being Al and impurities, and which contains an Fe-based crystal having an average Cu content of 5.0 mass% or less.
