The invention discloses an energy-saving overhead crane which comprises a bridge track arranged on an overhead frame, a bridge walking on the bridge track, and a trolley walking on the bridge, wherein the bridge at least comprises a rectangular frame, a lubricating slide way, a side chassis, a side plate and a walking rack; the trolley at least comprises a trolley frame, a trolley motor arranged on the trolley frame and a trolley speed reducer which is arranged on the trolley frame and is in transmission connection with the trolley motor, and transmission split shafts are arranged at the two ends of the trolley speed reducer in the direction from the rail to the frame; sliding assemblies matched with the corresponding lubricating sliding ways are arranged on the left side and the right side of the lower end of the trolley frame respectively, driving assemblies in transmission connection with the transmission split shafts are arranged at the left end and the right end of the trolley frame respectively, and the driving assemblies are in transmission connection with the walking racks. According to the crane disclosed by the utility model, the sliding assembly is matched with the lubricating slideway, so that the running energy consumption is greatly reduced, and the driving assembly does not need to bear the gravity of a trolley and a load, so that the equipment loss is also reduced.
