The invention relates to a passenger conveyor management device and a passenger conveyor management method, which can predict the easiness of dangerous behaviors of passengers in a passenger conveyor with high precision. A passenger conveyor management device according to an embodiment includes a monitoring unit, a detection information acquisition unit, a summary information generation unit, and a prediction information generation unit. The monitoring unit detects a dangerous behavior of a passenger on the passenger conveyor. The detection information acquisition unit acquires information on the type of the detected dangerous behavior. The summary information generation unit generates summary information for each time period and each category of dangerous behavior on the basis of the information from the detection information acquisition unit. On the basis of the generated summary information, a prediction information generation unit generates prediction information obtained by predicting the likelihood of a dangerous behavior of a passenger occurring in each time period in the future in the passenger conveyor.
