The invention provides a detection system and a detection method suitable for detecting aircraft surface topography defects, a to-be-detected aircraft surface has invisible ultraviolet fluorescence speckles, and the detection system comprises: an unmanned aerial vehicle; the ultraviolet light source is arranged on the unmanned aerial vehicle, and the ultraviolet light source is suitable for irradiating the surface of the unmanned aerial vehicle to develop the invisible ultraviolet fluorescent speckles; the multi-view camera at least comprises cameras symmetrically arranged on the two sides of the ultraviolet light source, and the multi-view camera is suitable for imaging the developed ultraviolet fluorescent speckles; the image processing device is in communication connection with the multi-view camera, and the image processing device is suitable for reconstructing an image obtained by the multi-view camera to obtain curved surface data of the to-be-measured surface; and the comparison device is suitable for comparing the curved surface data with historical data to obtain the morphology defect information of the aircraft surface.
