An improved algorithm of a hybrid power system energy management strategy is provided, and an algorithm model based on an equivalent consumption minimization strategy is established; setting a composite equivalent factor in the algorithm model; inputting the real-time residual electric quantity of the storage battery, the real-time required power of the fuel cell and the given expected balance value of the residual electric quantity of the storage battery into the algorithm model; and outputting the reference power of the fuel cell by the algorithm model, and multiplying the reference power with the real-time voltage of the fuel cell to obtain the reference current of the fuel cell. The energy consumption of the storage battery is reduced by reducing the power change amplitude of the storage battery near the expected balance value of the residual electric quantity.
