The invention discloses a method for determining the main scale of an offshore wind power construction ship. The method comprises the following steps: step 1, determining a plurality of main sea areas on which the ship is about to perform offshore wind power construction in the future; 2, collecting environmental conditions of a main sea area; the environmental conditions comprise water depth and sea wave conditions; 3, preliminarily determining a plurality of groups of ship main scales according to previous ship main scale type selection experience and comprehensive consideration of economic factors; 4, determining the operational judgment balance of the ship; 5, calculating the workable window proportions of the ships with different main scales in different sea areas through floating body dynamics calculation software; and step 6, determining the optimal ship main scale by calculating the continuous construction proportion of the ships with different main scales and estimating the cost of the ships. Reliable basis can be provided for construction of the ship in different sea areas, and adaptability of the ship in offshore wind power construction in different sea areas is improved.
