According to the method, acceleration and deceleration control of the self-adaptive cruise control system is carried out by considering different loads of the vehicle, acceleration and deceleration control calibration of the self-adaptive cruise control system is firstly carried out by taking the intermediate load, namely the half load of the vehicle as a reference, and the load coefficient of the vehicle is determined based on different load information; in consideration of expected effects of the self-adaptive cruise system under different working conditions such as cruise acceleration, constant-speed cruise acceleration and vehicle-following cruise deceleration, different parameter variables are multiplied by a load coefficient, and comfort and safety of system control are guaranteed.
