The method comprises the steps that the battery electric quantity of a power battery in a vehicle at the current moment and driving data of the vehicle at the current moment are obtained, and the target discharging power of the power battery at the current moment is determined according to the battery electric quantity of the power battery at the current moment, the driving data and a preset optimization problem. And further, controlling the power battery to output the target discharge power. Wherein the optimization problem is used for indicating the discharge power of the power battery under the condition that the average speed of the vehicle is maximum within the preset time period. Therefore, by controlling the discharge power of the power battery, the average speed of the vehicle in the preset time period can be maximum, so that the use efficiency of the electric quantity of the battery is improved, and the service life of the power battery is prolonged.
