The invention relates to a vehicle management system and a vehicle inspection method. The vehicle inspection method includes a first transmission process, a second transmission process, a first determination process and a second determination process. In the first transmission process, the vehicle transmits, to the server, a first state detected by a first sensor mounted on the vehicle during automatic driving. In the first determination process, the server determines whether the first inspection item is good or not for the vehicle using the first state received from the vehicle. In the second determination process, the vehicle determines whether the second inspection item is good or not using a second state detected by a second sensor mounted on the vehicle during automatic driving. In the second transmission process, the vehicle transmits a determination result of the second inspection item to the server when the second inspection item is determined to be bad.
