The embodiment of the invention discloses underwater target detection equipment and method and a buoyant raft, the underwater target detection equipment comprises the buoyant raft and a near-bottom detection towed body, and the near-bottom detection towed body is connected with the lower part of the buoyant raft through a bearing cable; the buoyant raft is in communication connection with the workboat; a depth finder, a first positioning module, a first power supply module and a first communication module are mounted on the floating raft; a second positioning module, a second power supply module, a second communication module and a detection sensor are mounted on the near-bottom detection towed body; a plurality of equipment mounting positions are reserved on the near-bottom detection towed body; in the process that the floating raft moves on the water surface, the near-bottom detection towed body is towed through the force bearing cable, so that the near-bottom detection towed body conducts target detection at the position of the preset distance to the bottom of the water bottom, and the distance to the bottom is the distance between the near-bottom detection towed body and the water bottom.
