The invention discloses a vehicle traffic signal control method based on visual perception under vehicle-road cooperation, and relates to the technical field of intelligent traffic, and the method comprises the following steps: 1, a processing step of a vehicle-mounted unit and a road test unit: enabling a vehicle equipped with the vehicle-mounted unit to enter a communication range of the road test unit in a corresponding direction of an intersection, and building mutual connection; the road test unit obtains the vehicle information transmitted by the vehicle-mounted unit and transmits the vehicle information to the traffic control unit; and step 2, a processing step of the road test unit and the traffic control unit: the traffic control unit performs vehicle ID pairing on the vehicle information obtained from the road test unit, determines whether the vehicle information is received and archived, if so, continues to obtain the vehicle information, otherwise, stores the vehicle information, and returns to the step 3. The signal lamp is controlled according to the vehicle information and the driving direction so that the vehicle can pass through the intersection; and step 3, processing by the traffic control unit and the image processing unit. The method has the effect of solving the problem of intersection blocking.
