The invention provides an energy storage charging method and device, the method is applied to an energy storage charging pile, and the energy storage charging pile comprises an AC/DC converter, a DC/DC converter, a charging gun plug and an energy storage battery pack; the two ends of the DC/DC converter are connected with the energy storage battery pack and the charging gun plug respectively, and the input end of the AC/DC converter is connected with a mains supply. According to the energy storage charging method, connection and disconnection between the output end of the AC/DC converter and the charging gun patch plug are correspondingly controlled according to the magnitude relation between the charging demand power of the current vehicle and the output power of the energy storage battery pack and the magnitude relation between the charging demand power of the current vehicle and the output power of the AC/DC converter. And controlling the output end of the AC/DC converter, the input end of the DC/DC converter and the energy storage battery pack to be connected and disconnected.
