The embodiment of the invention provides a reentry vehicle multi-position thermal protection device and a control method thereof. The protection device comprises a load cabin; the protection part is arranged at the front end of the load cabin, the front end of the protection part forms the head of the aircraft, the tail end of the protection part forms the shoulder of the aircraft, one or more head jet flow holes are formed in the head, and one or more shoulder jet flow holes are formed in the shoulder; and the jet device is arranged in the protection piece, selectively communicates with the head jet hole and the shoulder jet hole and is used for jetting gas to the head jet hole and/or the shoulder jet hole, so that thermal protection is formed on the head and/or the shoulder. According to the embodiment of the invention, jet thermal protection can be formed at multiple positions of the head and the shoulders of the aircraft.
