The invention provides a parking braking device for an electronic mechanical braking system, which comprises a shell, a motor, an electromagnet assembly, a ratchet wheel and a pawl, the motor is fixed on one side surface of the shell, a shaft of the motor penetrates through the shell to the other side surface of the shell, the ratchet wheel is pressed on the shaft of the motor, and the electromagnet assembly is fixed on the other side surface of the shell; one end of the pawl is connected with the electromagnet assembly, the other end of the pawl is rotationally connected with a pawl fixing shaft, and the pawl fixing shaft is pressed on the other side face of the shell. When the vehicle is parked, the electromagnet assembly receives a parking signal instruction and drives the pawl to rotate, so that the pawl and the ratchet wheel are locked, and parking braking is achieved. The product structure of the EMB is further improved, the safety performance of automobile braking is improved, and the competitiveness of the EMB product is greatly improved. The parking braking device is simple in structure and simple in process, and compared with a traditional electromagnetic brake, the parking braking device has the advantage that the production cost is better saved.
