In order to provide an energy storage housing (1), which, on the one hand, has particularly advantageous accident behavior, in particular in the event of a lateral impact on a motor vehicle, and, on the other hand, can be produced relatively advantageously, the longitudinal members (8) on the two vehicle sides (4) of the energy storage housing (1) each comprise at least two partial longitudinal members (9, 10), partial cross sections of the at least two partial longitudinal beams are complementary to form a total cross section. The invention further relates to a method for producing such an energy storage housing (1).
