The invention discloses a low-voltage lithium battery equalization control method and a battery management system thereof, and aims at enabling the voltage difference of a battery cell to be less than 10mV after the battery is fully charged, and enabling the battery to achieve the optimal performance at a high speed under the condition of constant-voltage charging of a vehicle generator. The control method comprises the following steps: voltage difference control: a low-voltage lithium battery management system (hereinafter referred to as LBMS) obtains all monomer voltages of a battery, and starts a battery cell of which the monomer voltage is greater than a threshold value I and the voltage difference is greater than a minimum monomer voltage difference threshold value; and voltage value control: the LMBS obtains all the monomer voltages of the battery, and only starts the monomer equalization of which the monomer voltage is greater than the threshold value 2.
