The invention relates to a vehicle fuel consumption reduction system applying content analysis, comprising: a dual-energy power machine comprising a first clutch, a second clutch, a lithium battery, a gasoline engine, a motor, a transmission and an inverter; the command analysis mechanism is used for sending out a first switching command when the depth-of-field data of the selected reference area in the instantly captured image is shallower than a set depth-of-field threshold value; wherein the dual-energy power machine is used for selecting a current power output component of the dual-energy power machine as a motor when the first switching command is received. The invention further relates to a vehicle fuel consumption reduction method applying content analysis. The vehicle fuel consumption reduction system and method applying content analysis are intelligent in switching and effective in control. According to the driving scene that the front vehicle is too close and needs frequency starting, stopping and braking, automatic switching from steering of the driving device of the hybrid vehicle to steering of the electric driving device is achieved, and therefore the overall oil consumption of the vehicle is further reduced.
