The invention relates to a traffic signal timing method based on the traffic state of an intersection physical area. The method comprises the following steps: firstly, detecting whether the traffic state of a large area passed by a current running phase vehicle is abnormal; if the abnormality occurs, detecting the position of the abnormality, and judging whether the phase needs to be switched or not; when the phase needs to be switched, determining the non-conflict flow direction of the abnormal large area, calculating the vehicle arrival rate of the non-conflict flow direction, forming a new phase by two non-conflict flow directions which have the maximum sum of the vehicle arrival rate and are not intersected, and performing switching, and releasing the vehicles in the abnormal area by adopting a manual intervention means; calculating the vehicle arrival rates of the blocked flow directions, and selecting two blocked flow directions which are not conflicted and have the maximum sum of the vehicle arrival rates to form a new phase to perform phase switching again; if no abnormality occurs, detecting whether a vehicle cutoff phenomenon occurs in the current running flow direction, and if yes, judging whether to switch the phase according to the running duration of the green light and the minimum green light time threshold value; and if not, judging whether to switch the phase according to the running duration of the green light and the maximum green light time threshold. According to the method, dynamic regulation and control of traffic signals are realized, and the traffic efficiency of the intersection physical area is maximized.

    本发明为基于交叉口物理区通行状态的交通信号配时方法,首先检测当前运行相位车辆所经过的大区域的通行状态是否发生异常;若发生异常则检测异常所在的位置,并判断是否需要切换相位;需要切换相位时,确定发生异常的大区域的非冲突流向,计算非冲突流向的车辆到达率,将车辆达到率之和最大且不相交的两个非冲突流向组成新相位进行切换,采用人工干预手段对异常区域的车辆进行放流;计算阻断流向的车辆到达率,选取不冲突且车辆到达率之和最大的两个阻断流向组成新相位再次进行相位切换;若没有发生异常,则检测当前运行流向是否发生车辆断流现象,若是,则根据绿灯已运行时长与最小绿灯时间阈值的大小判断是否切换相位;若否,则根据绿灯已运行时长与最大绿灯时间阈值的大小判断是否切换相位。该方法实现了交通信号的动态调控,使交叉口物理区的通行效率最大化。
