A fuel cell vehicle includes a controller configured to determine that the fuel cell vehicle is in a low power state event; and based on a determination that the fuel cell vehicle is in a low power state event, during the low power state event, outputting current from the fuel cell to charge the power cell, and during the low power state event, placing the vehicle accessory in an on state. The invention further relates to a control method of the fuel cell vehicle. According to the fuel cell vehicle, the demand power of the vehicle can be maintained to be larger than the minimum output power of the fuel cell, high potential of the fuel cell is avoided, and therefore the service life of the fuel cell is prolonged.
