The invention relates to the field of engineering machinery, in particular to an oil cylinder buffering control method and system, an oil cylinder and a crane. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring state parameters of the engineering vehicle; the control current of the proportional valve is obtained according to the state parameters; and generating a control signal of the proportional valve according to the control current and transmitting the control signal to the proportional valve. According to the control method, the state parameters of the engineering vehicle are automatically obtained, and whether the cargo boom is about to complete the current stroke or not and deceleration processing is needed or not can be judged according to the driving parameters. The control current of the proportional valve and the flow of oil in an oil way are controlled by combining the parameters, then the opening degree of the proportional valve is controlled, the telescopic speed of the oil cylinder, namely the moving speed of the piston, is controlled through the flow of the oil, and therefore when the piston is close to an end cover of the oil cylinder, speed reduction is conducted in advance, kinetic energy is reduced, and impact between the piston and the end cover is reduced.
