The embodiment of the invention relates to a parking space availability information associating method and device. The travel route planning method comprises the following steps: receiving a route planning request; receiving respective parking space availability information of at least one parking lot around the destination, wherein the parking space availability information is determined based on the captured parking space information image of the at least one parking lot; and presenting the respective parking space availability information of the at least one parking lot to the user. The method for determining the availability information of the parking space comprises the following steps: assigning parking space information acquisition tasks to a plurality of information acquisition devices; receiving an acquisition result from at least one information acquisition device in the plurality of information acquisition devices; and determining parking space availability information of the parking lot associated with the parking sign based on the acquisition result. Therefore, the real-time performance and the accuracy of the availability information of the parking spaces can be ensured, so that a user can conveniently plan a route.
