A locking arrangement for connecting and interlocking rods at nodes within a frame, the locking arrangement comprising a number of connecting rods; and a center node support configured to be engaged by each of the connecting rods from a different direction at a respective mounting port by inserting each of the connecting rods onto the respective mounting port, where the center node support is configured with at least one locking element at each mounting port, the at least one locking element is coupled to the central node support to actuate between a locked state in which the at least one locking element resides in an outward position and a respective connecting rod inserted into a respective mounting port is clutched to the central node support by the at least one locking element, and an unlocked locked state; in the unlocked locked state, the at least one locking element resides in the inward position and the respective connecting rod is released from the center node support.
