The standby battery management method comprises the following steps: receiving a standby battery test request, and starting a standby battery charging function and a standby battery discharging function; receiving a standby battery test ending instruction, and closing a standby battery discharging function; and receiving vehicle-mounted terminal activation information, and starting a standby battery discharge function. According to the method, complete management can be provided for the standby battery in the whole stage from manufacturer testing to formal use, feed before formal use is avoided, the safety of the vehicle in the use process is improved, and meanwhile the inferior rate of the standby battery can be reduced.
