The invention relates to an electro-hydraulic brake control device (1) for a motor vehicle, comprising at least two first output ports (4a, 4b) and two second output ports (4c, 4d) for at least four hydraulically actuatable wheel brakes (5a-5d), the invention relates to a hydraulic system (1) comprising first and second output ports (4a-4d), an electrically controllable hydraulic pressure source (2), a first electronically controlled regulating unit (A), a second electronically controlled regulating unit (B), a pressure medium reservoir (3), each first and second output port (4a-4d) having an inlet valve (6a-6d); each of the first and second output ports (4a-4d) has an outlet valve (7a-7d), via which each output port (4a-4d) is connected to the pressure medium reservoir (3), in which the pressure source (2) is formed by a cylinder-piston assembly having a pressure chamber (30), the piston (31) of which can be pushed back and forth by an electromechanical actuator (32, 33), the pressure chamber (30) is connected via a first electrically actuatable pressure-conducting valve (9, 19) to a brake line section (60) to which the at least four inlet valves (6a-6d) are connected, an electrical and/or electronic module is provided, which is configured, in the event of a failure of the first electronic control regulating unit (A), to control the brake line section (60) by means of the at least four inlet valves (6a-6d). Wherein, in the event of a failure of the second electronic control regulating unit (B), the electromechanical actuator (32) is actuated by the second electronic control regulating unit (B) and establishes a pressure for actuating the wheel brakes (5a-5d), and in the event of a failure of the second electronic control regulating unit (B), the electromechanical actuator (32) is actuated by the first electronic control regulating unit (A) and establishes a pressure for actuating the wheel brakes (5a-5d).
