A route conflict with an emergency vehicle identification system includes an infrastructure that receives vehicle location, speed, and trajectory information of an emergency vehicle. The automotive vehicle communicates with the infrastructure and receives vehicle position, speed, and trajectory information of the emergency vehicle. A navigation system of an automotive vehicle operates using global positioning system (GPS) data and preloaded map data to generate a map that identifies at least one road and potential conflicts between an emergency vehicle and a predicted path of the automotive vehicle on the at least one road on the at least one road. A head-up display or a down-view display of an automotive vehicle visualizes potential conflicts.
