The supporting beam material comprises the following components in percentage by mass: 0.07%-0.12% of C, 0.15%-0.35% of Si, 0.35%-0.55% of Mn, 0.3%-0.5% of Cr, 0.2%-0.3% of Mo, 0.2%-0.3% of V and the balance of iron and inevitable impurities. Molten steel smelting raw materials are put into an intermediate frequency furnace to be smelted, the molten steel smelting raw materials are scrap steel, foundry returns, ferromanganese, ferrosilicon, ferrochromium, ferromolybdenum and ferrovanadium, and the high-magnetic-conductivity and high-strength material for the maglev train is obtained through raw material smelting, deoxidation treatment in the intermediate frequency furnace, secondary deoxidation refining in a pouring ladle, slagging-off and heat treatment. The material has the advantages that the material has the characteristics of high magnetic conductivity and high strength and can be applied to the magnetically levitated train supporting beam, the weight of the magnetically levitated train supporting beam is reduced, and a vehicle is lighter.
