The present application relates to a pumpable thermally foaming filler composition based on a combination of a liquid epoxy resin and a polyvinyl chloride resin and/or acrylic resin powder and at least one alkali metal salt of a fatty acid containing 16 C atoms or 18 C atoms, where the alkali metal is calcium or zinc. These pumpable filler materials provide the advantage that they can swell to provide foams having a high swell value upon wet exposure/storage. A method of filling an enclosed space with a pumpable thermally foaming filler composition and a vehicle component obtainable with the shown method are also described.
