The invention provides an airplane wheel brake device utilizing electromagnetism for braking, the brake device comprises a hub, an electromagnetic assembly arranged in a hollow cavity of the hub, and a brake mechanism arranged between the electromagnetic assembly and the inner surface of the hub, and the hub is fixed with a tire through a hub disc. A bearing used for supporting and adjusting the position of the electromagnetic assembly is further arranged in the hub, and a braking groove matched with the braking mechanism is formed in the end face of an inner cavity of the hub. The electromagnetic force of an electromagnet is controlled by adjusting the current or voltage of the electromagnet of the brake device, so that the relative friction force of a friction plate of an electromagnetic assembly and a brake mechanism is changed, and finally the braking requirement is met.
