A system for monitoring a battery of a vehicle includes a processor and a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, configure the processor to: receive a first feature, statistics of internal resistance of a plurality of cell groups in a battery pack including the battery; calculating a second feature of the storage battery pack based on the first feature; determining whether the battery pack is faulty based on one or more of the second features; and in response to the battery pack having a fault, determining whether one or more of the groups of cells have a fault based on one or more of the first features.
