The invention provides a traffic incident duration prediction method and system. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring first report information related to a traffic event; calling first road section information related to the traffic event according to the first report information, and predicting a first duration of the traffic event according to the first road section information; and continuously obtaining second report information related to the traffic event, and continuously correcting the first duration according to the second report information to obtain a second duration. According to the scheme, the more accurate traffic event duration can be obtained based on the road section information of the traffic event occurrence place and the dynamic floating car reporting information, continuous updating of the traffic event duration can be achieved, and other traffic participants who intend to pass through the place can make reasonable decisions.

    本发明提供了一种交通事件持续时长的预测方法及系统;其中,所述方法包括:获取与所述交通事件相关的第一上报信息;根据所述第一上报信息调取与所述交通事件相关的第一路段信息,根据所述第一路段信息预测得出所述交通事件的第一持续时长;持续获取与所述交通事件相关的第二上报信息,根据所述第二上报信息对所述第一持续时长进行不断修正,以获得第二持续时长。本发明的方案可以基于交通事件发生地的路段信息和动态的浮动车上报信息来获取更为准确的交通事件持续时长,并可实现交通事件持续时长的持续更新,有利于其它意欲经过此地的交通参与者做出合理的决策。
