The invention provides a ship main shaft sinkage monitoring method and system, and the method comprises the steps: determining laying parameters of an optical fiber sensing unit based on a sinkage monitoring demand and the radius of a ship main shaft, and laying the optical fiber sensing unit based on the laying parameters; and the real-time optical signal of the optical fiber sensing unit is acquired based on the optical signal acquisition device, and the sinkage of the ship main shaft is determined based on the real-time optical signal. By utilizing the characteristics of good corrosion resistance, high reliability, long service life and the like of the optical fiber sensing unit, the monitoring accuracy and reliability of the ship main shaft sinkage are improved. Furthermore, the laying parameters of the optical fiber sensing unit are determined based on the sinkage monitoring requirement and the radius of the ship main shaft, and the optical fiber sensing unit is laid based on the laying parameters, so that the adaptability of the optical fiber sensing unit and the sinkage monitoring requirement can be improved, and the accuracy and reliability of ship main shaft sinkage monitoring are further improved.
