The subject of the invention is a coupling module (1) as an interface between a passenger boarding bridge or a passenger boarding ladder and an aircraft fuselage, comprising a bottom (2), at least the bottom (2) having a bottom cushion (10) at the end thereof facing the aircraft fuselage, the bottom cushion (10) having a bottom cushion section (12), the bottom cushion section (12) being arranged in the bottom cushion section (12). The bottom cushion section is arranged on the coupling module in such a way as to be pivotable about a hinge having a horizontal axis.
