The present disclosure provides a lighting system and a lighting method for a charging port of an electric vehicle, in which the charging port is provided in a vehicle body for supplying power to a vehicle driving battery, and the lighting system includes: a charging port door configured to open and close the charging port; and the lamp device is arranged on the charging port door and is used for illuminating the charging port.
