The present application describes a hybrid stratospheric airship (1; 1 ') configured for combined and optimized use of aerostatic and aerodynamic forces; 1 ') comprising: an inflatable central body (10); first and second inflatable wings (20A, 20B) extending from the central body (10) projecting laterally from two opposite sides of the central body (10), each of the wings (20A, 20B) having a portion (21A, 21B) proximal to the central body (10), an end portion (22A, 22B) distal to the central body (10), a leading edge (201A, 201B) and a trailing edge (202A, 202B); an outer shell (11) having a main shell portion (11A-11C) associated with said main body (10) and a first and a second side shell portion (11D, HE) associated with said first and second wing portions (20A, 20B), respectively; at least one main spar (12) extending transversely to the central body (10), structurally supporting the first and second wing portions (20A, 20B) and traversing the central body (10), the at least one main spar (12) being a linear spar, the at least one main spar (12) being a linear spar, the first and second wing portions (20A, 20B) extending transversely to the central body (10), and the first and second wing portions (20A, 20B) extending transversely to the central body (10). And a linear spar interposed between the leading edges (201A, 201B) and the trailing edges (201A, 201B) of the first and second wings and connected to the distal end portions (22A, 22B) of the first and second wings.
