A rigid extensible memory cell comprising: a front wall; a rear wall positioned adjacent to the front wall in a folded state and configured to unfold opposite the front wall, where the rear wall has an opening configured to be covered. The side wall is made of at least one portion and is positioned adjacent to the front wall in a folded state and extends between the front wall and the rear wall in an unfolded state. A side wall is made of at least one portion provided, and a top portion is positioned adjacent to the front wall in a folded state and extends to enclose a volume formed between the front wall, the rear wall and the side wall. In the folded state, the extensible storage unit occupies a minimum area of the surface or the platform and transitions the storage unit from the folded state to an unfolded state and vice versa can be handled manually or automatically.
