The invention discloses a mistaken touch prevention system and method for a vehicle steering wheel. The mistaken touch prevention system comprises a sensing module, a control module and a steering wheel function key module. The sensing module is used for sensing a rotation angle of a vehicle steering wheel deviating from an initial position and transmitting the rotation angle to the control module; the control module compares the rotation angle with a preset threshold value, and when the rotation angle exceeds the threshold value, the control module sends a control signal representing disconnection to the steering wheel function key module so that the steering wheel function key can be in a non-acting state. According to the system and the method provided by the invention, an emergency situation caused by mistakenly touching a key on the steering wheel when a vehicle driver rotates the steering wheel can be avoided, and the driving safety is improved.
