The invention relates to a device for stabilizing the rollover of a vessel and/or for influencing the course of a vessel during movement, anchoring or zero speed, comprising a wing bearing shaft on which a guide wing is arranged, the wing bearing shaft being drivable by a motor drive unit in order to change the actual angle of attack of the guide wing in the water, and the drive unit being arranged on the hull by means of a base. According to the invention, the motor drive unit is provided with a synchronous motor which drives the wing support shaft using a decelerating eccentric transmission. The installation space requirement is thus significantly reduced, only slight operating noise is caused, and also optimal electronic control is achieved.
