The method comprises the following steps: receiving a starting instruction for a rest mode; in response to the starting instruction, under the condition that the vehicle is shut down, if it is determined that the oxygen concentration in the vehicle is lower than a preset oxygen concentration threshold value, power is supplied to an air blower of an air conditioning system through a storage battery on the vehicle, and air outside the vehicle is fed into the vehicle through the air blower; and if the residual electric quantity of the storage battery is lower than a preset electric quantity threshold value, the air blower is turned off, and an engine of the vehicle is started to charge the storage battery.
