The invention provides a ship ventilation system capable of increasing the water inlet height. The bottom of a ventilation window is located below a damaged waterline, a water stop coaming is arranged on the inner side of a cabin of the side wall of a ship, the bottom of the water stop coaming is located between a cabin deck and the ventilation window, and the top of the water stop coaming is located above the damaged waterline; the water stop coaming is composed of first baffles, second baffles and a bottom plate, the front sides of the two first baffles are connected with the cabin side walls on the two sides of the ventilation window in a welded mode, the second baffles are connected between the rear sides of the two first baffles in a welded mode, and all the edges of the bottom plate are connected with the cabin side walls, the two first baffles and the second baffles in a welded mode respectively. When water entering from the ventilation window is higher than the top of the water stop coaming, the water can enter the cabin, so that the lower edge of the ventilation window can extend below a damaged waterline, the height and the ventilation area of the ventilation window are increased, and meanwhile the requirement that the lowest water inlet point of the ventilation inlet and outlet is higher than the damaged waterline is met.
