The invention relates to a battery system short-circuit protection circuit and a new energy vehicle, and belongs to the technical field of new energy vehicles. The battery system short-circuit protection circuit comprises a short-circuit protection unit and a current sensor which are connected in series on each parallel battery branch circuit of the battery system and/or a total loop of the parallel battery branch circuits; the short-circuit protection unit comprises a first branch circuit formed by connecting a mechanical switch and a first branch circuit fuse in series and a second branch circuit connected with the first branch circuit in parallel and formed by a second branch circuit fuse, and the rated current of the first branch circuit fuse is not smaller than the rated current of the second branch circuit fuse; the controller controls the mechanical switch according to the magnitude of current collected by the current sensor. When abnormal current exists between safety protection blind areas of the current battery system, the controller controls the mechanical switch to be switched off, and the second branch fuse is fused due to the abnormal current, so that the circuit where the short-circuit protection unit is located is switched off, the safety protection blind areas of the current battery system are eliminated, and effective protection of the battery system is realized.

    本发明涉及一种电池系统短路保护电路及一种新能源车辆,属于新能源汽车技术领域。电池系统短路保护电路包括用于串联在电池系统各并联电池支路和/或并联电池支路的总回路上的短路保护单元和电流传感器;短路保护单元包括由机械开关和第一支路熔断器串联组成的第一支路、与第一支路并联的由第二支路熔断器组成的第二支路,第一支路熔断器的额定电流不小于第二支路熔断器的额定电流;控制器根据电流传感器采集的电流大小控制机械开关。当出现目前电池系统的安全保护盲区之间的异常电流时,控制器控制机械开关断开,第二支路熔断器由于异常电流熔断,使短路保护单元所在电路断开,从而消除目前电池系统的安全保护盲区,实现电池系统的有效保护。
